Meet Sucel Ruiz
A financial coach helps clients with money management skills such as spending habits, creating short and long-term goals, and making financial decisions. Credit coaches help with credit score improvement by many ways including discussing ways to improve credit scores and assisting clients reach their financial goals. Here is Sucel's story.
Hi, I’m Sucel Ruiz, but most people know me as Suzie! I’m a bilingual finance and credit coach, proud wife to my best friend, and a girl mom to two beautiful young ladies. As the owner of P&P Credit Services, my mission is deeply personal—I know firsthand what it’s like to grow up in a community where financial resources and education aren’t easily accessible. That’s why I’m passionate about empowering others with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to build wealth—especially through homeownership.
I've dedicated 11 years to the finance and credit coaching industry. It's been an incredible journey, filled with growth and learning. Five years ago, an unexpected opportunity arose when our founder retired.
This journey has truly been a blessing. It has pushed me to grow in ways I never thought possible and has allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of my clients. And the best part is, I'm still learning every day!
I never set out to be a finance and credit coach—this opportunity actually found me. A former employer, who originally founded P&P Credit, invited me to be a part of it, and I knew it was the right move. After years in the corporate world, I was ready for something with more purpose, but I also wanted the flexibility to be present for my daughters in a way my mother couldn’t be for me.
Growing up, I watched her work tirelessly, leaving little time for school activities. I wanted to change that narrative. Now, through P&P Credit Services, I not only get to build a business that empowers my community but also create a life where family and success go hand in hand.
I’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and done the mentorship—but I realized the key is finding what feels right for *YOU*. The *Five Minute Journal* helped me focus on the best parts of my day, even when things felt heavy. On tough days, small intentional actions make all the difference—get up and get dressed, play that song that hypes you up, make your favorite drink, call a friend, or spend time with loved ones. Whatever fuels you, lean into it. And if it helps, write it down—because the more you see it, the more natural it becomes.
Self-reflection is key to growth. I take time to check in with myself, whether through journaling, prayer, or simply pausing to acknowledge how far I’ve come. It helps me stay grounded, realign with my goals, and keep moving forward with intention.
I believe there’s so much value in learning from others. I welcome advice from those I trust—mentors, peers, and people who have walked the path before me. At the same time, I filter what aligns with my values and journey because growth comes from both listening and trusting yourself.
I’ve received plenty of advice over the years, but ultimately, I’ve always prayed on it and made my own decisions. I’m grateful to my parents for instilling faith in me from a young age—it shaped the way I show up in the world. I haven’t always gotten everything right, but that foundation has guided me. Now, I’m so thankful to pass that same faith and strength on to my daughters.
"What is something you wish you knew sooner?"
Nothing is ever that serious—there’s always either a blessing or a lesson. Trust the process!
"Words of advice for someone who is staring off or struggling?"
Beliefs are everything—especially when you’re building something of your own. They’ll carry you through the hard days and help you recognize the right opportunities. It took a lot of inner work to get where I am today, and I’m so grateful for this journey. It has taught me resilience, self-love, and the power of giving myself grace.
Life is a beautiful gift from God—let’s live it in freedom, with purpose, confidence, and love!
Looking ahead, I see a future filled with impact, growth, and purpose. More than anything, I envision a life of freedom—rooted in faith, family, and fulfillment. While I may not know all the details, I trust that God is in control of my tomorrow, and I’m *excited* for all He has in store!
I have so many people to thank for shaping my journey. First and foremost, God—His guidance has led me every step of the way. My parents, for instilling faith in me. My mentors, like Karen Phieler and James Browne, who have poured wisdom into me. And of course, my incredible support system—my husband, my daughters, and the amazing women in my circle who uplift and inspire me daily. I wouldn’t be here without them!
